My friend, Christine, always brings a bag of these cookies when she joins us in the mountains and they never last very long! Full of oatmeal and chocolate chips, they are delicious.
Ingredients
1 cup butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 cups quick-cooking oatmeal
12 ounces chocolate chips
Instructions
Beat butter with sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Gradually add flour, baking soda and baking powder. Mix in oatmeal and chocolate chips.
Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 345 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
