Shortcut recipes using baking mixes cut down on preparation time and can still give a great result - like this one.
Ingredients
1 (18.25 ounce) package lemon cake mix
1 (3.4 ounce) package instant lemon pudding mix
4 eggs
1 cup water
1/2 cup canola oil
2 teaspoon poppy seeds
Instructions
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Blend together cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, water and oil. Mix well.
Stir in poppy seeds.
Pour into two 8x4 inch lightly greased and floured loaf pans.
Bake for 45 minutes.
Cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing and allowing to cool on wire rack.
Optional: When bread has cooled, glaze with a mixture of confectioner's sugar and lemon juice.
