Easy Chicken Gumbo

Ingredients

3 Tablespoons butter
1/2 cup chopped onions
3 cups diced cooked chicken
1 (16 ounce) can diced tomatoes
2 1/2 cups chicken broth
1 10-ounce package frozen cut okra
1/4 cup chopped parsley
2 Tablespoon lemon juice
1 garlic clove, minced
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
3 drops hot pepper sauce or  more to taste
1/4 cup rice

Instructions

In large pot, over medium heat, melt butter. Add onions and saute until tender. Add and remaining ingredients except rice. Bring to boil. Stir in rice, then reduce heat to a simmer and cook uncovered 20 minutes or until rice is tender.
