Ingredients
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup butter
1/4 cup water
1 Tablespoon corn syrup
1/2 cup toasted almonds
1/8 pound milk chocolate
Instructions
Mix sugar, butter, water and corn syrup in saucepan. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Cook slowly to hard crack stage (300F); Adjust temperature for altitude.
Stir constantly while cooking.
When mixture gets to proper temperature, quickly stir in almonds and pour into a greased 8x8 inch pan.
Allow to cool and then spread melted chocolate over the top.
Break into pieces to serve.
