On March 17th, we are all a bit Irish and just in time for the holiday, here is a quick and easy dessert. The combination of pretzels and chocolate delivers that sweet and salty combination that I love. These go together quickly and are fun to make!
Ingredients
Mini Pretzels
Green Candy Melts
Sprinkles
Lollipop Sticks
Instructions
Place half of the candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for one minute. Remove from microwave and stir. If the candy is not completely melted, continue in 30 second increments.
Cover counter with waxed paper. Dip pretzels into melted chocolate, covering the pretzel completely. A tweezers is useful for this task. Allow some of the chocolate to drip off and then place the covered pretzel on the waxed paper. Repeat with two more pretzels, placing them together in a shamrock shape.
Place a lollipop stick on top. Use a spoon to drizzle chocolate on top of the stick to attach it to the pretzels. Top with sprinkles. Allow to cool.
Repeat for each shamrock pretzel pop.
Enjoy as a pop or incorporate into a dessert by sticking the pop into a cupcake or a scoop of green pistachio ice cream.
