Pesto Mozzarella Turkey Burgers

Every now and then, we have a 60 degree day in the middle of winter. These days are a gift and a reprieve from cold winter weather. It is warm enough to  light up the grill and make something outdoors. Today is one of those days here in Colorado.

Ingredients

1.5 pounds ground turkey
1 Tablespoon steak sauce
3 cloves garlic, minced
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
5 Tablespoon prepared pesto

Instructions

In a bowl, combine turkey, steak sauce, salt, pepper and garlic. Mix well and form into eight very thin patties.
Combine cheese and pesto in separate bowl.
Spoon about 1/3 cup of cheese mixture in center of four patties. Top with remaining patties, pressing edged to form a tight seal.
Grill over medium heat about 8 minutes on each side.
